The host was friendly, spoke great English, and welcomed us with enthusiasm. The food was delicious home cooking, and we could walk straight through the dunes to the beach.

The owner was very nice, attentive, and always ready to help with her husband (for example, if you want a safari). The place was very welcoming and calm. The exchange rate was very high (prices shown in euros on the site then converted to rupees, and there was no terminal for credit‑card payment). I wasn’t informed about this during booking.

We spent five fantastic days there. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Mallika cooked superbly, and we never wanted to eat anywhere else. A trip to Kumana was arranged for us, and it turned out to be a memorable experience! The wooden house and the entire lodge are nicely tucked into the landscape, everything is well maintained and thoughtfully designed. We highly recommend this accommodation and would love to return.

They organized a safari for us, and the host even got up with us at 5 am to prepare a lunch box – that was really kind of her. The room was clean and exactly as shown in the photos, and the location is quiet. However, there was no hot water, and the lonely beach 150 m away, while beautiful, is only useful for a walk because there’s no shade and the sea is too rough.
