“Don't be fooled by the glossy photos!”

I landed right on the beach, which was great, and the staff tried hard to help. The breakfast that came with the stay turned out better than I’d imagined. My room was spotless and the bed was cozy. But don’t be misled by the shiny white pictures online; this place feels more like a run‑down beachside spot than a chic retreat. Getting there means walking down a couple of back alleys, and the hotel is split into separate buildings. The first rooms we saw, called Bamboo rooms, looked more like a hostel than what the photos promised, especially the common area where breakfast is served. I was so disappointed that I asked to see other rooms before deciding to stay. The staff understood and moved us to other rooms: a one‑bedroom room with pool access that was fine but a bit dated, and a one‑bedroom sea‑view room with balcony that was also okay but still dated. The staff gather underneath for maintenance, laundry, and security, so you always have to walk through them. There was no cupboard for clothes.

“De locatie is prachtig”

The beach location was good, but the hanging hooks were useless because there was no wardrobe to hang clothes in, so living out of a suitcase with two people for a week was terrible. It was also extremely noisy. Plus there was one chair on the balcony and a plastic table that sat over a big hole in the balcony.
