The location is great, about a 15‑minute walk from the historic district, and there are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants along the way. The room itself was nice, and having a TV with various streaming options was a big plus. The pool was under renovation while I was there (probably in preparation for the high season), and that was partly why I had booked, but the space looks good for when it opens.

The pool and the staff were very helpful with everything. There wasn’t a lot of natural light in the rooms, but the beds were very comfortable.

The hotel is comfortable, the room is spacious and fairly complete. The air conditioning works well, the bathroom is separate from the shower, there’s a lovely balcony, and the pool is clean, though there are no lounge chairs to relax on. Overall, good value for money—you get what you pay for. The breakfast is great! It’s quiet, about a 15‑minute walk from the night market but very close to a temple, a hill, and a river. The room itself wasn’t bad, but it felt a bit neglected; there were cracks in the walls and a spiderweb in the lamps, giving it a slightly worn look.

The pool was very pleasant after a day of sightseeing in this climate. The balcony gallery with seats was perfect for relaxing. Shower gel was provided. The air conditioning was good and the place was quiet. It’s a 15‑20 minute walk to the night market, though there are also closer food options. Breakfast officially starts at 7:00 am, but nobody arrives before 7:30 am, and no one takes orders until 7:45 am, even though we have an 8:00 am excursion pickup that we booked through the hotel. Because of the time crunch we had to settle for bread and jam, which is a bit disappointing. The breakfast smoothies are excellent.

The old building’s architecture, balcony, courtyard, and pool are lovely. The area is nice, close to downtown but much quieter. Breakfast is quite good. The issue is that there are no windows; you have to open the wooden doors to the public balcony for light, and closing them makes it dark. The air‑con was disturbingly loud and ineffective, and no fan was available even after we asked. The blanket and pillows under the covers were stained and dirty.
