“We enjoyed our stay, and would like to thank all of the staff members.”

We stayed at Mantila again with our kids and liked the spacious family rooms that had plenty of storage and a balcony with a relaxing view; the front desk and kitchen staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even accommodating last‑minute dinner requests and providing facilities to prepare “kiri dana.” The bathroom fixtures were wobbly and needed fixing, and the ironing board in the room also needed repair; the breakfast buffet was way overpriced for regular items, and compared to our 2024 stay the breakfast quality had declined.

We were impressed by the hotel's professional management and warm welcome. The room was spacious, and the balcony offered a beautiful view of nature. The hotel's quiet location, away from the main road, added to its charm. However, we were a bit disappointed by the construction work next door, which disrupted the hotel's operations. We were also underwhelmed by the restaurant on the third floor, which was dimly lit and had a lackluster atmosphere.

“Triple room”

I was a bit disappointed with the size of our room, as it was quite small for the three of us. However, the rest of our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed the hotel's overall atmosphere.

I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel's perfect location, just a short 15-minute walk from the edge of Thissa Wewa reservoir and lake. The staff were incredibly helpful, arranging drivers for us when needed, and the rooftop pool was lovely. However, I felt that the food could have been served at a warmer temperature, and the coffee was a bit of a letdown. On the other hand, the fruit platter and juice were delicious.

I was initially impressed with the hotel's rooms, which had everything we needed. However, the ongoing construction and renovations were a major issue, with loud machinery still operating at 3 AM. Additionally, the breakfast area was covered in dust, which was a bit off-putting. Despite these issues, I think the hotel has potential and would recommend waiting until the construction is complete.
