The staff were fairly friendly. The first room smelled like a cigarette; I complained right after arrival and it was swapped. Overall the hotel feels very old and the rooms were quite dirty. When opening the window I was afraid it would fall out of the frame. Regarding the hotel’s location, I should have checked it better beforehand.

The staff were friendly and the historic Tiki bar below was a nice touch.

Not too pricey for Vancouver, yet still feels like a stretch for what you get, while the building looks old, tired, and scruffy, the bed creaks a lot and is uncomfortable, curtains stay stuck closed, and the stairs and hallways are noticeably dirty.

The staff were great and the bed was large, but the front room was noisy from traffic and voices, and there were no double‑glazed windows.
