“Exceptional stay!!!”

The owner, Val, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, even though he hadn’t received our booking until we arrived. He even took the time to tell us about his restaurant and all the discounts he offers, and the food and service there were excellent. He also gave us great tips on where to go for entertainment. The accommodation itself surpassed our expectations: it was clean, homely, and the hot tub was a thrilling first‑time experience, especially preparing the fire to heat it. The only downside was that there was no iron in the room.

“Wonderful accommodation and the Lakeside Restaurant is fantastic, great food and great atmosphere.”

The owner met us personally to ensure everything was perfect. The room was very comfortable, fully equipped, and the shower was EXCELLENT! The location is very central but not in the busiest part of Dullstroom. The only complaint was the weather.

Nothing positive to report. Negatives: 1) No hangers in the cupboard. 2) Milk in the fridge had expired. 3) The room was basically a converted back room. 4) Very small, with nowhere to sit except on the bed. 5) There is a braai outside, but only a small spot to sit as the outdoor tube takes up most of the small wooden deck. 6) The bathroom is very small. 7) The braai grid is not clean. 8) The room in general was not very clean. 9) There is no pan to put your meat into after you braai. 10) Security is poor; your car is under a carport that cannot lock, so anyone can access it from the street.
