Clapham Guest House

“Comfortable modern and clean”

The property was refurbished, and in my twin room the space was bright and well decorated, the bed was nice and comfortable, and the facilities were good, including a big TV and tea/coffee supplies. The separate bathroom and toilet were finished to a good standard. I would definitely recommend this place.

“Jederzeit wieder.”

The neighborhood was quiet and the bus takes 20 minutes to reach the city center, which is fine for London; the rooms are very large. If you get a room facing the street, nighttime noise can be quite disturbing, but we managed to live with it.

“Check the room details before you book!”

The room was clean, the shower was new, and having tea and coffee in the room was convenient. The toilet and shower were down three flights of stairs, more than a floor below and at the end of the hall, which was a major inconvenience for my 80‑year‑old mother; we had to get dressed to go to the loo at night. It was not great at all, and I would never have booked if I’d known. At £200 for one night we felt conned! The room faced the street and was very noisy, and the pillows were super hard and uncomfortable.

“One stay for several days”

Housekeeping was very nice, and the location is close to coffee shops, a bus stop, food, and the train. The bathroom had a bad smell, there was noise from other guests, the doors, the stairs, and outside noise, and it seemed like the windows were always open.

The place was clean and convenient, but the bed was very uncomfortable along with the pillows, so I didn’t get a great night’s sleep.
