Hampton Inn Wilkesboro

“It was perfect!”

The breakfast omlettes were so much better than the powdered scrambled eggs! Love the bathroom counter space! Beds were comfy and lots of counter and drawer space in the room, a COLD fridge, microwave, and desk. You can tell they strive to be a 10!. Only drawbacks were no Kleenex in the room, just the bathroom. Also noticed no towel bars in the bathroom, at all, just one hook. The only real other things for Hampton to make it perfect, would be to put a shelf under the night stand shelf, it gets crowded on top with just one flat area and a night light in the bathroom. Not a big deal though

“We stayed here for a wedding at the Historic Barn. Great location.”

Front desk staff were welcoming, and the rooms were clean.

I was told I’d pay $152 and a few cents upon arrival, but the staff charged me over $200 and some cents instead. I’m not sure why, but I expected the staff to explain the $50 extra if they could see all my details.

“Most everything else about the room and the facility was okay. Only had breakfast and was gone.”

Breakfast was just a standard hotel fare. The room’s decline was acceptable, yet a strong musty odor lingered. They had some unit running, but it didn’t help. Maybe it would have been better on a higher floor, but paying this amount and getting a musty smell is typical of a cheap hotel.
