“TERRIBLE UNKEMPT ROOM, WITH A HORRIBLE MOULDY SMELL”

The location was spot on for us, but the room was in awful condition—bugs, spider webs, and a horrible damp, mouldy smell that clung to the walls. We saw black mould that had just been wiped off the ceiling. Within an hour of checking in we called the owner to switch rooms because of the foul odor that worried us about our sinuses. She told us she couldn’t change us because the other rooms were thatch‑roofed with no ceilings, supposedly worse than ours. We had to endure the smell since it was late, but it was only one night. I would not recommend anyone to book here.

My stay had its ups and downs - the serene view and peaceful atmosphere were definite highlights, but I was initially given the wrong room, which wasn't what I had booked. To make matters worse, the room had a leak and the TV wasn't working. I had also booked a self-catering room, but there was no stove, which was a bit of an inconvenience.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and made a great first impression, which was fantastic. However, I was a bit put off when I discovered that the bath towels had changed color and looked dirty, making them unusable.

“Pleasant will be back again”

I was pleased to find that the hotel was well maintained and clean, with the added bonus of convenient parking. I didn't have any major complaints during my stay.

“Horrible hotel with staff that doesn't care”

I had a really mixed experience at this hotel - while I loved the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious supper, the rest of my stay was marred by issues with the air conditioning, which only blew cold air, and a shower system that was difficult to get right. The hotel also seemed to have limited amenities, such as no heaters or electric blankets, and the kettle had a lot of limescale buildup.
