A beautifully restored and atmospheric hotel in a great location. The building has a relaxing room with a winter garden for general use. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and they serve delicious pancakes.

The location is nice and quiet, but the breakfast buffet was poor.

The hotel has the vibe and character of a 19th‑century manor.

A truly cool, atmospheric spot—exactly the kind of place we pick for mountain trips. The vibe feels homey rather than a typical hotel, and the breakfasts are a real highlight: varied and excellent, especially the pancakes made by the owner. He’s friendly, the communication is smooth, and everything can be sorted calmly. The property is tidy and clean, and the room came with a kettle, mug, glasses, tea, and sugar—little conveniences that are nice to have. Parking and location are big pluses; you can easily reach several trails from the premises. It’s one of those soulful places we always look for when heading into the mountains, and we’d gladly return. The only drawback was our room: it was on the same lowest level as the kitchen and dining area, probably the only room on that floor. It felt a bit more humid, and in the morning you could hear people heading down for breakfast. That didn’t bother us much because we were up early anyway to hit the trails, but keep it in mind when choosing a room. Most rooms seem to be on higher floors.
