The staff tried hard to make us comfortable, especially the friendly lady at reception who was essential to our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the room was extremely large. However, everything felt disorganized: the first morning we didn’t even know we had ordered breakfast, so we waited over an hour for butter, jam, toast, and fresh juice. The sheets were washed but still had stains, and the windows and balcony doors were not weather‑sealed at all, which is unacceptable given the construction standards I know. The property sits on a very busy and noisy street—so loud! The interior door latch was broken, so we couldn’t lock it. The hand shower head was broken when we arrived and wasn’t replaced. The toilet was leaking, the soap holder in the shower was trash, and there was no shower soap at the sink. The bathroom wasn’t clean, the hair dryer packaging was empty, and the courtyard leading to the beach was dirty with shards of glass.

Wonderful people, very attentive hosts. Convenient location, a wave‑filled beach with turtles right on the first line. In my view, the best spot in Hikkaduwa. We stayed in a large room with AC, plenty of space, and a small balcony—otherwise typical of Asia. If you need housekeeping, just tell the staff and everything can be arranged. It’s better to book an ocean‑view room because the street is a bit noisy. For a budget‑friendly, no‑frills traveler, I give a 100% recommendation; the breakfast view can cover any drawbacks.

My personal highlight was breakfast on the lovely terrace with the warm‑hearted gentleman and lady who worked there—I felt very comfortable ♥️. The manager only arrived in the afternoon, making communication difficult.

We chose this spot knowing the location; it’s perfect for relaxing, with no night‑time bars disturbing sleep, and markers within a two‑minute walk. The ocean is great thanks to the reef, so you can swim anytime or stay near the waves, and there’s a turtle beach nearby. The café serves tasty food, the rooms are spacious and clean, and standard amenities like hot water are available. When the AC broke, they offered an immediate room change or a quick repair by lunch.

“Замечательное место”

A fantastic hotel for its price, with ocean views, friendly hosts, a supermarket, beaches, and many cafés nearby in Hikkaduwa’s center. The AC works, rooms are clean without mold, the bed is wide, and everything you need is in the room, including a hot‑water bathroom—everything is good. I stayed a month on the second floor with a balcony, and it was all great!
