The experience was the most horrible; we only stayed two hours and left. A bunch of thieves, no water in the fridge, lights don’t work, the DSTV doesn’t work, more like a rehabilitation centre. Everything.

I liked the room I booked because it had a gorgeous view of the beach and was quite refreshing with a lot of peace and quiet. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like entirely, but I felt there could have been more on the premises. In my opinion it’s slightly silly to make reservations for dinner when the kitchen isn’t open to the public, and because my partner hadn’t read the book properly it was very awkward: both times we wanted to order dinner and lunch we were turned away and the front desk said, “you guys are making this difficult for me,” which was slightly off‑putting. I suspect it was my fault for not looking at the book, but the comment seemed unnecessary. Despite the awkwardness it was still decent, and when we were able to eat the food was delicious.

I booked this spot for my parents‑in‑law and they loved it; they kept telling us about their visit and insisting we all go there together, praising the service and the food as absolutely great.
