“For what I needed to do in Auckland the position & accomodation was excellent.”

I’ve stayed here before and it still meets my expectations; the staff are very friendly and helpful, the place is clean, and the location is excellent for walking Queen Street and accessing other Auckland areas. I usually get a queen room, but when those were unavailable I was assigned a king‑size room, which felt like wasted space for me alone; I don’t watch TV, but the TV was a bit small for the room.

The location is great, but the condensation was crazy—windows were soaking wet, a spot on the carpet was wet with no clear source, and there was mold on the curtains and shower.

The spot is clean, cheap and smack in central Auckland. The king room feels a bit cramped though.

The bed was comfy, location was great. It was a last minute cheap stay so I really wasn't expecting it to be fantastic anyway. The remote for tv didnt work so the helpful guy at reception swapped it out for me and made a point of saying he usually worked at the better hotel across the road and that this was just a budget hotel 😆. The first night there was constant water noise over my head, pipes or something. I asked to get moved for my 2nd night, which they did. Unfortunately there were a few issues in the next room, the power point needs attention, very unsafe. The fan above the shower was disgusting and full of dust, and there was broken glass on the top part of the shower wall as you can see from photos, it just needed swept up so shouldn't be too hard to resolve. The whole place just needs some TLC which I assume will happen eventually as I was told it had new owners
