Good location… The sauna was unclean.

The staff were extremely friendly without feeling forced. The indoor pool was nice, and the sauna, though small, could be turned on at any time on request. However, the laundry carts (sometimes 10!) that sit in the basement hallway right after the elevator should be placed in a less conspicuous spot, and the signage for the hotel parking could be clearer. The pool and sauna area could feel more inviting, and the overall ambience could be more relaxing. Only tea and coffee are officially free with breakfast; my cappuccino was kindly covered by the staff.

A rustic hotel right in the Thuringian Forest, perfect for starting a hike straight away. The breakfast was disappointing: no plant‑based options for coffee or rolls, the rolls were cheap and reheated from yesterday, only fatty sausage and artificial sweetened juice were offered, and the selection was an absolute minimum with nothing special.

The room was large with comfortable beds. Breakfast was a hassle: too many people for too few seats, and the staff (only two people for kitchen and service) were overwhelmed, so it took forever to get the scrambled eggs.

Breakfast was included in the price and more than sufficient. You wouldn’t expect caviar for that cost; there was always enough, including coffee and drinks. The room was spacious with excellent beds, and the bathroom had perfect water pressure. The location by the Kurpark was very quiet and relaxing. About 90 % of the staff were not from Germany, but they were always friendly and helpful. The Wagner Group could still invest a bit more to upgrade this somewhat dated hotel. Dinner was adequate but lacked freshness; perhaps reconsidering the concept could improve quality.
