Everything was excellent, super central with a direct view of Palazzo Vechio, plus a kitchen to make coffee in various ways. Francesca and Ericka are outstanding staff who help with everything and answer any questions, always available.

I can’t recommend this enough! Great location, great accommodation, and great host. If I’ll ever go back to Florence, I’ll book the same accommodation

Great location, near Piazza Della Repubblica, Florence Tuscany Italy. Francesca was a nice person, but assumed limited responsibility and we had to make best of situation, expected some understanding. No water in the mornings for showers. Paid 848 euro for 4 nights for 2 people in room, non refundable paid 4 weeks before, so expected better. Can we please provide more information for direct as I can't find the appropriate form, so that to consider our complaint/s before printing our review. Can send photos, copies of texts and notice of no water for 29 September. COMPLAINT FOR We had a number of issues, with overall cleanliness of the bedroom floors (lots of dust and dustballs) - can provide photos. Arrived afternoon of 23 September 2026 and was asked to pay the city tax of 48 euro immediately, rather than when we left. The main issue was on day 2, 24 September 20226 at 8.57am found there was no water to shower, contacted Francesca and she told us it was not her fault. She sent us a copy of the notice (for 29 September which was for after out exit date of 27 September. Can provide copy). After 2 hours still no water, so I asked if she could provide a bucket so we could collect some water. This happened each morning until we left. (Can provide photos of buckets in bathroom and copy of text messages sent to Francesca. It was terrible, but owner did not offer a refund or any compensation. As we had only booked 4 weeks before and peak season in Florence, did not want to cause any hostilities as we had no where else to go. Another problem was the steps to the 1st floor lift. We had someone from the pub downstairs help us (2 women in our 60 years) get both our suitcases up the stairs to the lift. Prior to departure asked Francesca if she could help with getting our luggage downstairs and she said she was going to her country home. Suggested we go to the pub downstairs and ask if someone could help us, and offer to pay them some money or give them a tip, to take our luggage downstairs. Francesca also suggested how to walk slowly down the stairs with suitcase in one hand and other hand holding onto the railings! I would like to send more details about the situation, for to consider a partial refund for the no water in the room in the mornings. Upon departure told to leave the keys in the room unlocked on the Sunday morning, 27 September 2026

The facilities were excellent. Large bathroom and plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. The owners had thought of all the little touches that would make a stay more comfortable. The kitchen/dining area was a bonus we hadn’t expected for a property that didn’t provide breakfast. Also the sitting rooms were another unexpected delight. It wasn’t the fault of Relais Cavalcanti but the Irish bar (which was below our room) played loud music and the clients shouted and screamed from about 10pm until 2 -2.30am every night which caused a problem and prevented us sleeping. The owners of Relais are trying to get this sorted with the council but I would advise trying to request a room on the other side of the property away from the Stove Bar
