The staff were extraordinary, very helpful, very clean, found a motorcycle for me and took great care. The proximity to the road is not very annoying.

Nothing! They wanted to give me a completely different room than the one I had booked! The window was about 30 cm from a high wall, the room was dark! I had to find other accommodation and pay for a taxi again. A clear scam! Booking should check who they work with!

I booked just three days before arriving in Phu Quoc because this was the only place I could find that offered a decent price, and I’m glad my expectations were surpassed. I stayed in a 4‑person room alone; the room and bathroom were huge and clean, cleaned daily, towels changed at the same time. The hotel sits right on the main road to the south of the island, so a scooter is mandatory, which I rented from the hotel for 160 k VND a day—seems to be the standard price in several places I visited in Vietnam. The room cost was very affordable: I paid 106 euros for a 7‑day stay. Internet was fast and reliable, overall a great stay! I’m not a fan of how they’ve been developing tourism on Phu Quoc; they seem to be targeting mass tourism with all the negative consequences that brings. There are three beaches near the hotel—Sao, Khem, and the one in Sun City. Sun City and Khem appear to have been developed by the same company, built in a Mediterranean style that feels out of place in Vietnam, planned and built for profit extraction, lacking soul and quite inauthentic. Sun City, better named Ghost City, seems pretty empty; buildings are vacant, only the ground floor has restaurants, hotels, shops, etc. From Sun City you can take the longest cable car in the world (almost 8 km) to Hon Thom island where there’s an amusement and an aqua park. While the cable car ride is impressive, I was not impressed with what’s on the other side. If you have children it might be fun for them as the park is Disneyland‑like. Sao beach was a bit better because it hasn’t been as overdeveloped as Khem, but they’re heading in that direction—heavy machinery is present and they’re building more hotels and restaurants there. There’s also quite a bit of trash on Sao beach, but not on Khem. Khem seems better maintained.

For the cheap price you can’t complain; the room was clean but the mattress was very hard, the amenities were okay for one night. But you can only pay by cash!
