The location is excellent, great for getting to the A30, yet it feels like the middle of the countryside with farm animals and nature all around, and there’s no road noise.

From arrival to departure they did everything possible for us, were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful; the property is lovely, well decorated, and fully equipped, we stayed in the family room which had everything you’d need, including dog supplies; the setting is brilliant, on a working farm surrounded by fields and animals, very quiet; the continental breakfast was delicious, I had the best scrambled egg on toast ever; there was a big pot of tea, milk in the fridge in the room; in short, you have to stay here! I’m not sure if I can book again, but it’s the best place to relax with family and pets or as a solo traveller and feel at home.

A lovingly designed family room with plenty of space even for two teenage sons, very friendly and attentive host, and a tasty breakfast.

The countryside around the place is gorgeous, the silence is almost perfect, and the garden is delightful; parking is a breeze, the room is spacious with a fridge and kettle, and the beds are very comfortable. The host is incredibly welcoming, the property is dog‑friendly, and the local pubs are great. Breakfast is huge, and there’s plenty of books and local tips for activities and sights.
