Nothing good. Before I got there, the hotel called to ask why I was booking a room when I already lived in the same shire. I said I was staying with my partner for a rare night without the kids to enjoy some quality time. They still assumed I was a prostitute and cancelled the booking. I tried to explain it wasn’t true, but they still cancelled. I was shocked, embarrassed, and really disgusted by how I was treated. As a local resident booking a room with my partner, I shouldn’t be judged or accused of something like that. It was completely inappropriate and a very upsetting experience.

Thanks to an unexpected upgrade, we stayed in an apartment that we would have loved to stay in longer! It included a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. We were also grateful for the bedroom heater because it was very cold outside (only 6 °C at night). Everything was perfect!
