“Pleasant stay with comfortable rooms, but dining experience could be improved”
We recently spent a few nights at the DoubleTree by Hilton in a Studio with a King Bed on a half-board basis, which included breakfast and dinner. The location was far from Seoul center, but that was intentional, so the distance didn’t bother us. The room was comfortable and spacious, yet we didn’t receive any complimentary service or upgrades even though the hotel was fairly empty. The concierge was very pleasant and helpful throughout. The food was decent, but the buffet became monotonous after a few days; the live noodle station only offered beef broth and no alternatives. In the main restaurant the air conditioning was set too high, making the room very cold and uncomfortable for a relaxed dinner, and although the hotel was quiet during the week, there were occasional queues at the restaurant on weekends.
