The hotel was friendly and comfortable, with clean rooms and bathrooms. The restaurant was pleasant. To get to Vaduz in Liechtenstein, you need to take two buses, which is about 12 km away. The only issue was the pervasive cooking smell throughout the property.

The staff were kind, the place was spotless, the location was great, and the restaurant was good.

The bicycles could be stored in a locked shed. The room and bathroom were spacious and looked very clean. We arrived late at the restaurant, and they still made food for us. The waiter was very enthusiastic and pleasant to see. Despite the language barrier, they tried to make us comfortable. Communication about breakfast via email was annoying, but the breakfast itself turned out to be decent. The building had a nice appearance. The beds were good, and the view was lovely. However, they spoke Italian. The email explained what we could use with breakfast and that any additional items would incur a surcharge, such as no jam cup, a slice of cheese, a sandwich, etc. The room was on the second floor, there was no lift, no kettle or coffee maker, and restaurant aromas drifted into the hotel. It is somewhat remote.

The place sits right next to Frumsen, making it easy to get around, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The room was spotless.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay; the food and service were excellent, the rooms cozy, and the location of the Gasthof Engel was beautiful. Everything was perfect.
