“Viel Licht und sehr viel Schatten, war das Geld nicht wert”
Excellent breakfast, quiet location, great view. The restaurant, however, was frustrating: after a fantastic dinner (Menu M) six days earlier on the way to Perigord, we deliberately returned to Clochemerle on the way back. It was night and day: a 30‑minute wait before first contact with service, the same menu and price, but different main dishes that did not live up to the Michelin star or the cost. Disappointing.
The spa, followed by a duo massage, is worth recommending, but the restaurant fell short of our expectations.
“Fijn hotel, fantastisch restaurant, let op de prijs van de wijn”
A beautiful hotel in a picturesque setting, about 20 minutes from the highway, with a nice room where the dog was welcome everywhere, a fantastic restaurant, and very friendly staff. Everything was fine, but we were shocked by the price of a glass of wine. When we arrived, we were asked if we wanted a glass of wine from the region, which we did. The wine was good, but when we checked out we saw it cost €12 per glass, even the wine we had at dinner. We find that really extremely expensive, especially for regional wine.
The location was convenient for the trip, the reception was very personal, and the rest matched the lodging rating.
