Everything was flawless: the spot was great, the lobby and lounge were gorgeous, especially the drawing room and entrance; breakfast was tasty and the team was warm and helpful; the room was immaculate, the bathroom spotless and well presented; we had a fantastic stay that made our holiday memorable, every detail was perfect.

A lovely detached house full of character, free parking, beautifully decorated, clean, tidy, good breakfast, very quiet and dark at night. The rural location means you have to drive to get to a pub, and the host wasn’t very friendly; the room was tiny, not what I expected or thought I’d booked, and the host said that was the room I had booked, so the booking description could be clearer.

This grand country home is the most beautifully restored, owned and lovingly restored by the hosts who live on the premises; plenty of village pubs nearby for lunch and dinner; the surrounding countryside is spectacular, we were there at the end of spring but every season must have its own appeal; the bed was comfy with lovely linen; the room and bathroom were clean and tastefully decorated. Our room, “Little Nellie,” was a bit small for two people with two large suitcases and no formal cupboard space, maybe better for a single person or two people with overnight bags; it was the smallest room in the house, the last available when we booked, and I’m still glad we chose it.

The location and vibe were great. The room was quite small but very clean and comfortable.
