Barbara was a sweetheart, leaving us little touches in the room and always ready to help with anything we needed; we’ll definitely come back next time.

The location was fine, but the rules felt excessive for the minimal perks offered. We were given only one roll of toilet paper for three nights, and when we asked, the staff replied rudely, saying it wasn’t a hotel. I’ve stayed at similar places that provide at least one roll per person per night. There were many odd rules, like hanging shower towels outside instead of in the bathroom, and the terrace was covered in dirt (especially in Lanzarote). The small table with chairs on the terrace was unusable for dinner, so we either ate elsewhere or missed dinner because by 21:00 we couldn’t be outside without making noise. The TV didn’t work, and the staff promised to send someone the next day, but it was clear we wouldn’t get a fix in time as we were trying to explore the island. The iron was completely black and stained our clothes. In short, it’s okay if you’re looking for a cheap one‑night stay, but expect discomfort and the need to buy your own toilet paper.

The space works well for a solo traveler, with a very comfy bed and free parking; everything was clearly explained and extra tips were handy, like the fantastic pizza at El callejón that introduced me to the lovely San Bartolomé. The downside was the humidity, which made it feel cold on a rainy day. I’m a light sleeper and could hear neighbors when they closed car trunks and doors or walked around, so noise was an issue.

The location was convenient, free parking and a coffee machine were included, but I arrived at 14:00 while check‑in was at 15:00, and to access the room an hour early I was asked to pay an extra 30 € for a person to open the door. I find that absurd, especially since I rent houses in Greece and don’t charge extra when a guest arrives an hour or two early and the room is ready. The room was nice, but I felt the space was poorly used and there was a lot of humidity. I was unlucky to arrive during a cold, rainy week.
