The town is a gem, the hotel is tidy, and the owners are friendly.
The spot is central, the room was big enough for three people, and it had a heat‑pump. The mattress on the double bed was too soft for my taste.
The inn is quiet in the heart of Vaala, and the double room gave me excellent sleep. The blackout curtains didn’t block all the light, but they did reduce most of it.

The room was a bit cramped, the shower and sauna were cramped and located next to the entrance on the ground floor, and the communal kitchen noises seeped into the room. Those quirks were okay for me, but the price‑to‑quality ratio didn’t satisfy me.
