The area is quiet and there are restaurants very close by. Everything else was fine.

We really enjoyed the four nights at Raalhu Fonu. Ahmed and Sunday were great hosts and we even received an upgrade to a top‑floor room with a view and terrace. The view looked out over the sea (partially blocked) and was beautiful whether it was sunny or rainy. The two good restaurants, The Wave and Delish, were close, and a short walk brought us to the decorated tree and the tourist beach. The local islands’ reef was the best place I visited for snorkeling – swim through the channel and go left and right. Masks, fins, and life jackets were supplied by the hosts. We appreciated the hosts’ friendliness, care, and attention, as did their team.

I stayed in a spacious, modern room and bathroom. The guesthouse sits near the tourist beach and an excellent restaurant is close by. It was very quiet. A speedboat can be booked for $45 each way to transfer from the airport to the island; a few run each day, so you need to coordinate with flights. The island is very small and quiet – no cars, and you can walk around it in 15 minutes. The only activities are beach or trips, priced between $40 and $90 depending on time and distance. It’s great for a relaxing holiday. I booked a deluxe room with balcony, expecting a private balcony, but it turned out to be a small Juliet balcony 100x50cm. No rooms have private balconies; the front rooms open onto communal terraces, which are what the pictures show. Breakfast was basic, with no tea or coffee.
