The location was ideal for our trip—just 5 minutes from the underground tube and 4 minutes from our event venue. It’s near shops and restaurants, in a clean and safe area, and the quiet neighbourhood meant no trouble sleeping.

The location is excellent and the room was extremely spacious, complete with a hairdryer and a place to hang clothes. The hallway’s original floor tiles are lovely. However, the shower head didn’t work properly, making the shower barely usable. My keys were left outside in an envelope with my full name on it, which didn’t feel very secure; a lockbox for late check‑ins would be an improvement. If it weren’t for these details, this would be the best hotel I’ve stayed in London at this price point.

The room was big, light, airy, and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Check‑in was smooth with the keys left out ready for me upon arrival. The location was very convenient, with Gloucester Road tube station and plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. The walls are very thin, so I could hear people coming and going until early morning, which made it hard to sleep even though the bed was comfy. Maybe the staff could put up signs asking guests to keep quiet in the corridors! The shower wasn’t very warm or powerful, and there were no tea or coffee making facilities.
