Nothing was better than a cheap motel—this was the worst experience of my life. Everything was dirty, old, and nasty. The police kept coming to check on neighbors. The bathtub started pouring dirty water, just like a bad motel in a movie.

The female who checked us in was friendly, but when I went to reception to ask about the coffee maker that was supposed to be in our room, a male staff member told me there was no coffee in the room and I had to go to reception for coffee. I then told him there were faeces on our toilet seat; he said he would make sure it was cleaned next time. He was a rude man. On entering the room there was a stale smell, the room was dirty, the floor tiles around the jacuzzi tub had no grout and were lifting, and the carpet was threadbare. Most of the motel is used for emergency public housing. We felt very unsafe and should remove this motel from their database.

I booked this in April and it was guaranteed. I received a phone call Saturday asking what time I would be arriving, which I thought was odd (I've never been asked that). When we arrived at the Sullivan Inn, I was told checkout is at 11, not 12, and I was told to contact regarding that. I was also asked for my driver's license; when I asked why, I was told it was their policy. When we opened the door, the room smelled vile. I turned on the AC, which wasn't powerful enough to kill the smell. There was no Kleenex in the bathroom, just a container. The Jacuzzi, which I paid extra for, wasn't cleaned. The pillows had stains on them. Finally, after 12 hours, the smell had disappeared. When I turned in my card, no paperwork followed. I asked the clerk for her name and she questioned me. I would not recommend the Sullivan Inn.

The Jacuzzi room is clean and well set up. The hallway is a bit dingy but good value. The owners and staff are very nice.
