The place sits in an unbeatable spot. My room faced the clock tower square and the sea, and the whole thing had been freshly renovated with great taste. The ceilings were high, the bathroom spacious, and the bed super comfy. The building used to be an office block, but an entire floor now serves as a modern boutique B&B‑style hotel. The breakfast, however, is very simple, more like a Bed and Breakfast: just breads, cereal, ham, cheese, fruit, no cooked items like eggs, though everything was high quality. The breakfast area is cramped, so I ended up eating in my room—no problem, but worth noting. There’s no pool, only a small terrace for common use. While the location is good—close to the convention centre and the city walls entrance, and some rooms boast great views—the immediate surroundings can feel a bit dirty and unsafe, a feeling that fades once you step into the walled city.
