“A lovely, peaceful place in the bush run by lovely owners who are really helpful!”

The owners were genuinely warm and helpful in every way. I only stayed one night because I had to catch a flight to Liberia the next morning. Michael drove me to the border at 5:30 am, arranged a taxi from the border to the airport on the Costa Rica side, and kept in touch the whole time to make sure everything went smoothly. The spot is really cool, tucked into the bush. I wish I had stayed longer and will definitely come back when I visit Nicaragua again. It’s a far more peaceful place than San Juan Del Sur. Highly recommended!

“Amazing staff! I would stay again!!!”

The staff were outstanding—kind and attentive. The food was excellent, and the grounds and surroundings are beautiful, just a short walk from the lake. The room was superb and super comfortable, with a hot shower! A few hooks in the room would have been handy for hanging things, but otherwise the place is amazing. I’d stay again!

The room was very nice, complete with its own patio and hammock. The setting is peaceful and the owners are kind and always ready to help with anything. We spotted monkeys and a sloth on the property. The room didn’t have a convenient spot for luggage, and it’s a bit isolated if you don’t have your own transport, so you need to eat all your meals with them. The food is good and reasonably priced.

“On a long road trip with many stays, this one will remain memorable.”

The hosts are very friendly and the food is truly outstanding (half board available). The setting is beautiful. The location sits on a cobblestone road on a narrow strip of land between Lago Cocibolca in Nicaragua and Costa Rica, not far from the Penas Blancas border crossing. It’s a real treat to stay with owners who have built a bed and breakfast with a long‑term vision of being surrounded by nature. There was a fee to use the swimming pool.
