The location is excellent, the BBQ and fish‑smoking area are great, the rooms are quiet and it’s very convenient to the river and town. Some minor updates and painting are needed in the rooms, but it’s still better than most places I’ve stayed in Turangi.

The room was clean, but it was the smallest motel room I've ever seen. The only water source was a tiny hand basin in the shower area, which was also the only spot (yuck) to wash dishes, and the cutlery was almost non‑existent with no small cutting board. I won't stay again because, even though it was a little cheaper than other local options, it simply wasn't worth the savings.

The location is great, the beds are comfy, the room feels warm, everything is clean, and the price is reasonable—definitely book again.
