The place was wonderfully charming and the room was lovely. After a freezing wet glacier hike, the owner immediately did our wet laundry, dried it, and folded it—an incredibly kind gesture that saved us from having to wait a few more days. Thanks again!

The location is very quiet with a beautiful glacier view. The host is kind, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. The house and room were spotless, and the kitchen had everything you could need. However, a few bright outdoor spotlights shine onto the driveway and into our room; blackout shades blocked most of it but light still seeped in from the sides. I slept with an eye mask, so it wasn’t a problem, but a motion‑activated light would be better so it only turns on when someone is moving in the dark. We also wanted dark‑sky viewing for the aurora borealis, but the outdoor house spotlights made the sky too bright.

The place is incredibly clean! The room is comfortable and spacious, and the public areas are spotless. The kitchen supplies are plentiful and tidy. Although it’s a shared bathroom, the number of facilities is more than enough—4.5 rooms have 2 bathrooms plus a toilet. It feels like home! The beds are very comfortable. Other guests checking in that day were also quiet, tidy, and well‑behaved. Compared to other pricey Icelandic hotels with private bathrooms, this is still a good option. I highly recommend this accommodation if you’re passing through!

A very cozy and pretty cabin. Even though the bathrooms are shared, the four rooms together have 2.5 toilets, so there’s never any crowding, and the toilets are clean. The whole house smells nice. The host keeps a dog, and the little puppy greets you outside—so affectionate and cute. The surrounding area is just this one set of houses, so light pollution is minimal, and we even captured the aurora.
