The bed and pillow were fantastic—this was the first time I woke up to my alarm instead of battling the pillow or mattress. The couple’s service was very friendly and helpful; the wife lent me a hair dryer, and I had a pleasant chat with the husband that made time fly. They offered me the option to dine there, and they have a small grocery shop that’s handy for pilgrims. Breakfast was included, and I was told I could eat whenever I wanted (milk, fruit, muffins, etc.), but I didn’t because I was heading to the next stage of the Camino de Santiago and appreciated that there was no set start time—something I haven’t seen in other hotels. No complaints.

The place gave off a nice, modern vibe, but the owners seemed to live on the premises, causing constant noise from screaming kids and loud conversations, and the attic creaked excessively. Initially, I had no room key, and breakfast was basically just take‑away items. The hostess was displayed as a naked figure in the room, making the stay far from pleasant.

I just left Alojamiento Alija and the experience was truly amazing. The room was clean and cozy, the place feels like family, as if we were at home. The homemade food was delicious. The hosts treated us like family. It was fantastic, and the town is charming. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks to Marisa and Javier, you’re really lovely. A hug!!!
