The staff were friendly and the location was convenient, but I didn’t get an upgrade to a comfort room. The standard room was extremely noisy, and the shower in the neighboring room was so loud you could feel it from the hallway.

The staff reacted instantly to my note that I was severely wheelchair‑impaired, telling me the hotel sat on a hill and that a staircase led from reception to the lift. I assumed the staircase would be short and kept my booking, but it turned out the hotel is actually *at* a hill, with a steep, uneven old cobblestone path largely without handrails, and the on‑site parking is higher up. I could not safely navigate the path from my car with my cane or walker, and the staff wouldn’t or couldn’t move my car to the parking spot for me, so I had to forgo the Schlosspark stay. They suggested I cancel immediately by phone with the partner I had booked through, but neither I nor the intermediary between my car and the front desk could find a phone number online, and the desk staff had none either. I eventually found accommodation 40 km away. Too bad the Schlosspark hotel looked promising. The communication about the hotel’s surroundings was inadequate for someone with severe mobility issues, and the missing partner phone number made it impossible to claim a refund for the already paid room rate.
