The 10‑minute bus from either JR or Kintetsu is pretty handy, and the price is reasonable for a dorm near Nara Prefectural Office with almost no vacancies. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, which is a relief. The living room on the first floor faces the washbasin and washing machine. The lower bed’s high edges make getting in and out a hassle; short people might struggle (lifting the futon under it cuts into the height).

The bed was the least comfortable thing I’ve ever slept on, but otherwise everything was fine. Getting there is easy from either station via many buses, which was convenient.
