“Nice food - Friendly Host/Staff”

The host and staff were friendly and very accommodating, the back garden was nice and the food was good, but when an unplanned power cut happened the place wasn’t prepared – there were no emergency lamps, the generator didn’t work, and even candles were missing.

The host was friendly, the location was great for a relaxed vacation with surfing, snorkelling and kayaking, and the villa on the main road was easy to reach; the hosts handled breakfast and suggested tourist spots in English very conveniently, making the stay amazing, though the parking only fit a small van and could be better.

We stayed at Villa 1908 from Feb 3 to 4 and it was a perfect time; the place was calm, beautiful, and ideal for a relaxing family stay, the host was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, breakfast was amazing—especially the fresh, authentic Sri Lankan menu—and we spent a lot of time at the pool and BBQ area, all of which was clean, well‑maintained, and peaceful, leaving us relaxed and happy, and we would definitely recommend this villa to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa.

The location is simply superb; situated in the charming area of Dodanduwa, it feels like a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, yet it’s only about 100 m from the beautiful Dodanduwa Beach.
