I had allergies to bird feathers and other things, so I let them know beforehand. They adjusted all the bedding, which was reassuring. The view from the window was good, and the ridge line of the opposite mountain was beautiful. Breakfast was also tasty. I can't think of any issues.

The location was great and the breakfast offered a wide variety of items, which I liked. However, the toilet door made a loud creak every time it was opened or closed, and that was quite annoying.

Choosing the room with a bed and a tatami area gave us plenty of space, which worked well, though my 78‑year‑old father found sitting on a chair more comfortable than on the tatami, and we ended up watching TV from the bed side, so next time I’ll pick a different layout. The building is old but the staff clearly try to keep it clean, which I appreciated. The steep 1.3 km walk from the station was brutal for a 78‑year‑old, especially since the shuttle only runs from 9:00 to 19:30 and we arrived after 20:00, making it impossible to use; the promised call‑back about shuttle availability never came, leaving us stuck. A broken‑sound phone call from the front desk to the room gave a bad first impression, and the staff seemed more interested in a casual chat with a contractor than in acknowledging our late arrival, which also left a negative feeling.

I was able to relax in the hotel’s hot spring, but the utensil case in the dining area was dusty.
