The area gave you plenty of time to explore. Breakfast was good, though it only opened at half‑past‑nine, which is inconvenient if you’re a early‑leaving guest. Checking out was a hassle; the owner had to be coaxed out of bed, and it was already past nine o’clock.

The surroundings were nice and we could do a lot by train, seeing many sights. We were very disappointed with the accommodation: there was construction around the hotel, the cleanliness was poor, beds weren’t made, and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all.

Breakfast was fine. The room was too cold and the curtains didn’t block the windows.

The location is great and the exterior looks superb; it could be a fantastic hotel if everything were in order and fixed up. The breakfast room was always cold, no heating worked, and there was no lift – we had to take the stairs to the third floor and we weren’t the youngest guests. Doors jammed or wouldn’t open, wardrobes were broken, everything smelled musty, the parking lot was a derelict construction site with a crane, the banquet hall was open and an exterior wall was missing. The only staff member did her best but was overwhelmed.

The older buildings were charming, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was just fine.
