Koh Mook Sivalai Beach Resort

What was definitely exceptional was the location, the beach, the sea, and the staff; I did not like Consa at all and was strongly misled by the description of the property on Booking, which portrayed it as fully renovated while it was actually in a major renovation phase with 3/4 of the bungalows being completely rebuilt, as well as the terrace in front of the restaurant and other parts of the resort; we spent three days in a construction site with practically no other guests and workers everywhere, the staff did their best and that deserves recognition, but the services available to us were minimal; if I had been able to leave with the certainty of getting a refund from Booking, I would have left the next day, but I couldn't; in short, the rating reflects the temporary state it was in, and if I could rate Booking in this case I would give it a 0!

The hotel is spectacular! We will definitely come back!!! The peace is incredible, a true paradise! The staff are very kind. I have no complaints about the hotel. The beach on their side is immaculate. It’s a pity that other hotels have a fairly dirty beach. I suppose it’s different in high season.

“4 étoiles assez ordinaire mais bien situé”

The location is perfect, a small isthmus, so beaches on both sides. The teams are friendly. The massages are good, the restaurant is decent. There’s little to walk around on the island, it’s small and dirty. The other beach (sunset) is beautiful but in a depressing state of dirt. We were there in low season, it might be different in high season… There are good little restaurants in the village.

“The breakfast was terrible, in fact everything I ordered over my 4 night stay was dreadful”

Beautiful location. The grounds were poorly kept, the pool bar was closed the whole time, and the property almost appeared derelict.

We arrived at the resort in August. Half the resort was under renovation. The shop was closed. No marine activity was possible because they claimed everything was closed for the season (even though the weather was not stormy). The restaurant was open but half the menu was unavailable because “it’s not the season and there aren’t enough tourists.” Breakfast was tasteless and not varied. We booked for 4 days in advance because we didn’t know this was the situation, after two days we chose to leave even though they wouldn’t give us a refund. By the way, the whole island is closed from May to October, so there’s nothing to do at this resort or in the Koo Mok area during that time; it’s a shame they keep selling holidays during that period when the island and resort are almost inactive. We filed a complaint with Booking, still no response. The resort location is nice and the rooms are good. The water flow in the shower is problematic.
