We arrived and there was no one there; we called and reached a voicemail. The manager called back three hours later and told us we had already left, so we couldn’t wait outside and ended up finding a place further away in Auxerre. This isn’t an hotel if there’s no one to receive guests. Check if they can refund because… it was awful.

Check‑in was easy. The location is great and the meal at the restaurant was good. The room was pleasant and comfortable. The lighting in the room wasn’t great.

The reception was friendly, the hotel sits in the centre of Tonnerre, and the breakfast was fine, but we noticed a smell in the hallway when we arrived and some noise from the neighbouring room.
