“Hieman syrjäinen hotelli”
The room was quite large. The staff were helpful. The walk to the city center was fairly long, but short enough that the Grap taxis didn’t bother to come pick us up.
The room was fine, with a nice ensuite and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was okay. There is little or no service. The website claims there is a bar and restaurant, but there is no bar and the restaurant only opens for breakfast. I used the two beers in the minibar, but they were not restocked over four days. The location is not ideal; a few basic restaurants are nearby, but to reach Hoi An old town you need a taxi each way.
The restaurant, which was supposed to be there according to the information, was closed.
“Dark and noisy”
The location is good, about a 20‑minute walk from the old town with nice restaurants and coffee shops nearby, and close to the rice fields and An Bang Beach. The room was very dark, but the worst was the deafening noise from large groups of Asian tourists; earplugs were a must. Breakfast was geared toward Asian tourists with plenty of dishes, but none were labeled with their contents. The western selection was poor.
Without a doubt, the highlight of this hotel was the staff. The people who work there are very friendly and welcoming, and you leave feeling very well treated—that was clearly the strongest point. The second was the comfort of the bed and the room itself, which was very acceptable overall, so I would say I had a positive experience. To mention a few areas for improvement, which I think is important, the only downside for me was that it is a bit far from the Old Town, and there are a few small things that could be improved, but nothing major. Overall, there is nothing particularly negative to point out.
