The staff were very friendly, but there was no hot water.
“Won’t be going back”
The hallway and stairs smelled strongly of wet dog, the room itself left a lot to be desired even though the bed was clean and the heating was turned off at night, yet the host was very nice; the only issue was its position.
“Small, dated and cold”
The place sits in a good spot and the host was pleasant, but the rooms were cramped—especially the quadruple family room on the top floor with a sloped ceiling that’s not great if you’re over 5 ft. We booked three rooms for a group of seven, and the décor felt dated and the hotel wasn’t the cleanest. In room 1, the deluxe double’s shower was small, ran cold, and the window handle wouldn’t work, so we couldn’t close the window and it got cold overnight. Also, the hotel isn’t disabled‑friendly, and pets are allowed only for an extra £10.
We didn’t actually stay there, but the money was refunded the next day; however, when we arrived we were told our room was flooded.
“Jonh was a good host ,good location”
We didn’t get breakfast and the location was decent, but the place costs a lot of money, which is a shame because the location is great; Jonh was a good host.
