Staying in a genuine castle was a fantastic experience; walking the parapets and reading the historical info upstairs added value, and ending the evening with drinks on the Duke’s balcony in the old chapel—now the hotel bar—was wonderful.

We stopped for a night’s parking on the way to Cordoba; the town itself isn’t packed with activities, but the Fairdoor was lovely and left a strong impression, the building is amazing and well maintained, like sleeping inside a palace that’s also a museum—highly recommended, don’t miss the walk up the walls around the towers. We loved everything.

The atrium area was spectacular, the reception staff were good, and parking right next to the hotel was convenient. The room felt dated and tired, and the air conditioning didn’t work.
