The owner was arrogant and rude. The room had a stained bedspread, stained bathroom fixtures, no shampoo or shower gel, and the building’s laundry line was visible in the room behind a curtain with a mop and detergent bottle. There was not even a kettle for instant coffee, all for the modest price of 108€ for a “dream” night, even though it has almost 100 reviews with a 9.1 rating.

The location inside the city was fantastic. The staff were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was minimal – just a croissant and coffee, and that was it.

The welcome was excellent from Angelo, who was very helpful and kind. The room was clean. The Altumara was very typical. The food was good. Marysa and Angelo were a lovely couple and listened to their guests. I strongly recommend it.
