The hotel sits in a fantastic, central spot in the city centre, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that set me up for the day. I’d like bigger rooms, a larger communal area, and a fitness centre or swimming pool for guests.

I liked the bed and shower, but there were cockroaches in my room and they charge an extra $100 deposit until after you leave, then you have to wait 3 to 4 business days for it to be refunded to your card.

Location was great. It was dirty and not well kept. Shower drain was clogged. They unclogged with toilet plunger and left old toilet paper chunks and hair from drain on shower floor. Toilet leaked. Someone vomited in elevator. The next day there were still chunks in the elevator. Disgusting

We picked this place for its spot—just a walk to the subway, several Indigo bike rentals, and plenty of things nearby. The old Philly charm hit us right away, but the real highlight was the staff. Roager at the front was helpful, patient, and knew everything about the area. I’d recommend this safe, clean spot in the heart of Philly to soak it all in. The free breakfast made the day even easier—those waffles were a pre‑COVID throwback but still great, with plenty of healthy options. One downside: the shower area could use a repaint; damp and heat have left some marks on the ceiling.
