I’m very grateful to host Ahmed Shawky for creating this hotel. It’s right in the middle of a palm forest surrounded by nature, which is perfect for those who love to relax outdoors. My wife and I especially want to thank Shawky for showing us the surroundings, explaining how he grows date palms in his garden, and describing how local residents live. The host has extensive experience organising authorial trips to the desert. We were thrilled to visit the white and black desert with his friend and son. I highly recommend booking a desert tour with the host and his team. Many thanks to Shawky’s wife and children for the tasty lunches they prepared for us. I wish this wonderful family all the best.

The view of the palm grove was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the owner was very kind. The gravel was scattered everywhere and the upkeep felt lacking because of budget constraints, and the breakfast was just average.

Breakfast was plenty, but if you don't have a car you can't get around easily. In December the room gets too cold.

It’s perfect for exploring the desert, though the hotel sits in the palm grove. It’s gorgeous but very remote.
