The place is well situated and clean. The email confirmation just didn’t work.

I liked how central and comfortable the room was. The 6‑digit passcode for the room was a hassle, the bathroom glasses were dirty, and the fridge was too small for anything substantial. I didn’t see any staff during my stay.

The hotel is in a beautiful historic building in the center of a gorgeous city. The room was spacious. The stay was quiet. Everything was fine and I would give the hotel a higher rating, but the impression was ruined by an untidy room. Dirty windows, an unclean coffee machine, and especially unpleasant were the medicines and the unfinished water from the previous guest on the nightstand.

The photos on the Booking page made it look like the hotel had a restaurant attached. The restaurant owner explained very kindly at my arrival that the hotel and its restaurant were separate businesses, and he had nothing to do with the hotel. Parking is available right nearby. I don’t know how the €20 breakfast offered through Booking is supposed to be paid for. Unfortunately following a current trend, the hotel has no staff on site. The location is optimal. Communication is by e‑mail. As requested, I called a day before my arrival to confirm the usual check‑in time again. After some explanations (language difficulties) that went through successfully. The check‑in works well thanks to the e‑mail explanations. For the required pre‑check‑in and later check‑out you are prompted by e‑mail. The booked single room turned out to be a relatively tight double on the top floor (I always wanted to stay physically fit). For one person that was fine or even a two‑person overnight was okay. The small windows only offered a view of the neighboring buildings’ roofs. Alternatively a lift is available for the stairs. Very handy is the chip remote for the stair door (if closed) and the room door. That saves entering the code on the doors. In the room (with fridge and a welcome gesture) you can make coffee from a machine or tea from a kettle. Otherwise the room is livable and functional. The bathroom has a floor of smooth (flow) screed. The wall in the shower is also equipped with that. For the mattress, they found a reasonable middle value. That does not apply to the upper bed. That may be good for winter and with the window open. Now, early September, I was inclined to go under the shower. The pillow is very voluminous. The filling does not give way. I settled for a small decorative pillow that was available instead. Relaxed sleeping looks different to me. In the small bathroom there were two different glasses for the toothbrushes with the opening up. It was not clear to me if that was supposed to save a paper sheet. Otherwise an alternative would be a cover. On the sink below the two packaged soaps there was a slightly longer foreign hair. The pictures trick you into thinking there’s a restaurant. The operator may point too much at the reviews. In my view that’s not a good style.
