The setting is very beautiful and the people were extremely friendly and took care of us. We received good food and the house we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and at the right temperature. We liked everything.

Staying here instantly made us fall in love with Bucovina and left a great impression of Romania. I booked a three‑night stay for our UTMB ultramarathon in Câmpulung, just a ten‑minute drive away, and stayed in one of the three wooden lodges. The cabin was well built, solid, clean, spacious with two rooms and two bathrooms, bright, and had good quality interiors plus AC, a heater, a big TV with Netflix (great for rainy days), and consistently hot showers with solid water pressure—everything needed for a cozy stay. Two other runner families were in the other cabins, so we formed a small community. The hosts—Andrei, Adi, and their family—were the warmest and most welcoming we’ve met on many trips. They cooked for us every night over a wood fire with fresh local ingredients, and we never ran out of home‑grown berries packed with antioxidants. Their cooking was superb; I hadn’t tasted such fresh grilled trout in a long time. A beautiful garden at the back of the house hosted our campfire, and Andrei drove me to the race start at 8 am. I’m very grateful we found this place.

The location is gorgeous, everything is crafted with great care and attention to detail. The cabin itself is absolutely wonderful, and there are short trails the owner has set up next to it; we felt very comfortable and will definitely return. A stove is available, and the cabin has all the essentials plus a generous barbecue area. From our perspective it’s a top‑3 spot in Romania for a mountain getaway! The host was very welcoming and attentive, making us feel at ease. Everything was superb; kudos to the owner for what he’s done. I had nothing to recommend for improvement.

We spent five nights in a chalet at La Piatra Cabana. The accommodation was spotless, with simple décor that matched high‑end French standards, and nothing was missing except cooking plates; the large kitchen was fully equipped and open to guests all the time, letting us meet and chat with other travelers, plus plenty of barbecues. The surroundings were lovely, offering a beautiful mountain view and a blueberry garden. The hosts were incredible—always ready, generous with pancakes and blueberries, and we ended the day around a huge bonfire. What a memorable place to remember and share.
