The facilities in an English‑style house are exceptional. The common areas are very pleasant. The pool is calm. The views are spectacular. The best part is Ashan’s service! Everything is perfect.

Incredible location amongst the hills and right at the start of the trek to Ellas rock. The second time I've stayed here. Good social vibe. Lovely manager. And an adventure walking along the train tracks to get to it

The highlight was the common area and the outdoor pool, but the hostel is far from the city centre – a 15‑20 minute ride. Dorm beds were basic and uncomfortable, and the overall cleanliness inside the hostel left something to be desired.

The views were great, the place was clean, and the host was helpful, yet the location feels very remote, quite a distance from Ella’s centre and the other station.
