The old winery vibe was missing, the staff were inexperienced and unprofessional, breakfast was poor, the shower had slippery tiles and an odd bathroom layout, the pool water was cold, and loud music came from four different events in the hotel—this is more of an event venue than a hotel.

A spectacular view from the terrace, right onto Vršačka kulu, and the rustic vibe was unique. We had planned to use the beautiful terrace after putting the kids to bed so we could enjoy the view, but that didn’t work out. The biggest downside was the weekend party planning in two rooms; guests were not informed. Outdoor music on the hotel terrace, set up diagonally from our balcony door, started around 1:40 am. Sleep was impossible, the kids woke to every drumbeat. It was very unprofessional not to warn families with small children about weekend celebrations. Breakfast tasted good, but the Swiss buffet was sparse when we arrived. An hour before the end of the breakfast hour, there was no food restock even though the waitress said we’d wait for it. After 20 minutes nothing arrived. She also commented that everything that remained looked like that. The pool was cold and the water slightly cloudy; we left the spa area after 10 minutes. If your priority is evening entertainment rather than a quiet rest, this is the place for you. I don’t recommend it for families with young children because neither you nor the kids will get any sleep (weekends).

We’re already on our third stay at Helvecija, and we’re very satisfied with the offer. Breakfast is good. The centre is a few minutes on foot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was not in the main building (Bungalow A3). The mattresses were very hard and the room was a bit dusty in some spots. Otherwise everything was fine.
