The staff were very friendly and the service was good. It was extremely hard to find the place; I had to take an Uber, but they couldn’t locate the boat. I asked people on the main street, but nobody knew. Why not put up a sign on the main street?

Ajey did a wonderful job feeding us and generally looking after us at the boathouse. I loved the local knowledge and the spots they took us to.

I enjoyed the food, but the overall experience was disappointing. The houseboat is definitely not a luxury vessel; compared to the four weeks we spent in India, the standard here is only passable and the “all‑inclusive” claim is misleading because only water, tea, and coffee are offered—no soft drinks or juices. The meals were plentiful and tasty, and the staff were polite and mostly presentable. However, the cleanliness was terrible; the boat desperately needs a deep clean and refurbishment. The advertising should be pulled until international cards are accepted—cash only is unacceptable for a flagship service in Kerala tourism. It seems only the positive reviews survive while the sub‑par ones are removed. I wonder how many people will see this review before it’s posted or taken down. In short, the service and quality of this houseboat fall far below what it’s marketed as, leaving us disappointed. At least the food was good.

The staff were friendly and the freedom of having a private boat without other guests was a great choice, especially compared to the crowded public boats. WiFi sometimes stopped working because it was disconnected, and we had to buy fish from the market ourselves, which we expected to be included in the room price.

The boat broke down, but the company sent a motorboat to get us to our next destination, and we were well looked after. Good, good.
